Ugh. Too late. It's all together and spinning nicely. If there was any chance I would put 2000 miles on this bike, I might redo it. Hopefully it will last for the time I'm enjoying it. If not, not a biggie to pull the cranks at some point in the future.

The rear dropouts looked a bit suspect to me so I fashioned a DIY alignment jig.



Sure enough they were off a bit. I put a carpenters square on them and measured the distance to the center of the seat tube. It was the port side that was off. A little yank on the bolt and they lined up.









The space between was only 123mm so I re-fashioned the parts into a spreader and tried to get it to 126. After a few lesser attempts, I finally quit after spreading the stays to 160mm+, but they sprung right back.
