When new, that's likely no problem. But my concern would be a few months/years from now, after the rubber/plastic dry-rots or otherwise degrades.

I can easily see only the outer part of the plug coming out while the rest breaks off and remains embedded in the threads. Or, alternatively, that most of the plug pulls out but leaves its outer layer (and other crud) behind in those threads,

Might want to consider getting some spares and replacing all of them periodically.
