My FSIR Spin 5 is still in great condition, including the stays, after six years of service. If you know the FSIRs, you'll know that that is not the spot where the frame is most vulnerable. I am the owner and moderator of the Facebook FSIR Spin group in my country of residence where these bikes were once a brief sensation in the folding bike community. I have never heard there or elsewhere of compromised or broken stays on the FSIR Spin bikes.

Here it is, on tour in South Korea...

The FSIR Spin 5 is an excellent affordable, light (9.6kg out of the box) and sturdy folding bike. Kudos to those of us who saw it for what it is, and grabbed one before they went extinct.
