Hi guys, i am trying to tune my 9 speed and no matter the tension on the derailer, adjustment on the limit screws or twisting from the barrel it works from gear 9 to 8, twist the barrel makes it to 7, click the shifter to 6 but stays on 7 click the shifter to 5 goes to 6 click the shifter to 4 still stays on 6 click the shifter to 1 stays on 3.


H and L have been adjusted appropriately, barrel screwed all the way in, chain on smallest cog at back and big cog on front, cable pulled taught at derailleur and secured.


Bought a new Sram x4 derailleur, new derailleur hanger, new chain, new cassette, new gear cable new cable housing and new 9 speed gear shifter and still wont pass 3rd gear. Iv spent 3 days trying to tune this thing.


What could be the issue?
