Bikes: '80 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8, '86 Mongoose ATB, 1989 Schwinn Alum Pro 1.86 MTB, 1983 Miyata 1000, 1985 Pro Miyata, '90s Merlin, Peugeot Fixie.

How about a set of old Sakae randonnepuring bars? I had these on a Miyata 610 (same frame as the 1000). I used it as sort of a CC bike when I didn't need all the racks and stuff on the 1000. It was my goto for a long time. But it had that God-awful foamy handlebar wrap and has been sitting in the shed for years. I've been putting it apart bit by bit and will repurpose and likely reapaint the frame at some point.

Anyway, these bars might be more apropos for this bike. They are about the same width at the top, but much wider in the drops. Bonus: it already comes attached to a Nitto Technomic stem.
