One thing I’m not sure on is what model it is, and what kind of cantilever brakes would’ve been stock. Because of this, myself and others on the forum think it could be some sort of early cyclocross attempt. Does anyone know what models came with cantilever brakes in the 70s? Maybe 80s?
it’s got stamped dropouts, and a general low end feel. But it’s a cool old steel lugged frame and I’m jazzed to build a gravel bike with some extra vintage soul.
Happy to hear thoughts and ideas!

Stamped dropouts and cantilevers would be an unusual combination. You should post some pics of the bike (especially of the drive side). You have fewer than 10 posts so you can’t post pics yet but you can create an album with the pics and someone will put them into your thread. You may want to start a thread in the C&V forum as that has a lot of posters who know a lot about old bikes.
