I bought this seat post second hand and in parts. I was told that it should be fixable and I was hoping for some help.

1- I need to separate the saddle side from the post side, this is not possible just by pulling, since there's a stopper there. Any ideas ?
2 - Then I need to place the spring - probably easy
3 - Then lock everything again
