My bike has cheap pedals, Wellgo nylon body, alloy cage, $8 from Trek. On my Dual Sport 3 this is what it came with. They seem ok to me. I don't know any better though.

What pedals could I replace these with that I would notice a difference? Is that just a road bike thing or a mountain bike, where pedals matter more?

I searched but it always hit on the pedals being hybrid, not the bike.
