Though you said you took it all in fun in the description, your title ask a question.
So it's not so much how you took it that I am replying to.. It's just my reply to the question you ask in the title. If you just wanted to relate this as a amusing story then you shouldn't have ask the question. It offers up the interpretation that maybe you are thinking you shouldn't have taken it as fun.
Sorry I misunderstood your use of "you" as directed to me rather than the general public.
But as I think I made clear in the OP, yes I asked the question because I'd never seen it before and while it could be interpreted and making fun of a cyclist, I didn't interpret it as mean, actually the opposite.
FWIW, I think it's been an interesting discussion all in all in spite of social media doing what it does - being imperfect.
