i've been through the wringer on the electrical side (multiple ablations and other procedures, AICD, etc) and there are really a lot of minor/fixable things that can affect heart rhythm in a negative way, so try and stay chill about it and assume for now it's a random and/or temporary thing. reduce stress, reduce stimulants, stay hydrated and eat well, take a multivitamin, etc. did you also do an echo? the most obvious sign of "athlete's heart" is significant dilation, which certainly can eventually lead to lots of PVCs/ectopic beats even in the absence of any other physical abnormality, damage, or genetic predisposition. if your HR is getting up to 180 i'd guess your volumes are OK, unless you're also putting down tdf levels of power
Echo normal, all heart physiology normal, all blood work normal, X-ray normal - just electric issues. Got got the Zio today and will wear for two weeks.

I did do two high stress rides within 3 days with significant climbing prior onset. I will reduce coffee, try to drink more liquids, and cut out alcohol. Already getting plenty of sleep, multivitamin and a good diet. Hope you are right that this may pass. Sorry you had to go through all that. Will try to chill. Thanks for the info and encouragement.
