TBD after two weeks of wearing a Zio monitor. In the meantime, no ‘strenuous’ activity, and no excessive sweating, so it will probably be Zone 1 and no hills. And in the future, no more red-lining. Again, no direct proof, but was absolutely fine prior. Let’s be careful out there.
EDIT: Last night before bed and this morning my BPM rates are thankfully back to norma - high 50s to mid 60s. That doesn’t mean I’m going to head out and be crazy, but at least I know I am heading the right direction. My hunch is inflammation/arrhythmia was caused by reaching too hard and rest has caused it to re-set. But that is just my hack guess. Will still get my chest monitor read and talk to a professional. Perhaps a stress test would be telling.
I had irregular heart beats in 2017 which resolved after 6 month and came back in 2022, I think. Gets worse if I chase people in the hills. Saw a cardiologist last year and had a stress echo, treadmill, the works. Told me to act my age, basically.
I do feel better if I don't red-line it too much. Apparently a-fib is somewhat common in knuckleheads like me who go too hard for too many years.
