I had something similar a few years ago, where my heart would "skip a beat" every few seconds. It felt like a fish flopping around in my chest. After a bunch of tests (and medical bills), they told me it was nothing to be worried about.
Hindsight diagnosis: After several months of relative inactivity, I had piled on the training volume too quickly. I reduced the volume for several weeks, and the flopping fish went away.
About the Zio Patch -- very stylish. I think everyone should wear one.

They are a thing of beauty. Shaved chest to make removal a bit less “hairy”. Bought a new pulse OX due to the wackiness of its predecessor. I am still bottoming out at 40 BPM then it recovers to the 60s and 70s to bottom out again. Reminds me of an engine with a poor throttle sensor which keeps hunting.
