If buying into the provenance mindset, who and what kind of a caretaker would dismantle the bike and just off the carcass? Its like buying Frank Sinatra's excellent condition Cadillac at an auction and then taking it all apart, then just sell body. Lol
Regardless what one thinks of the 3V frame, personally think this particular storyline is stretched.
