The UK uses miles for roads and driving even though they are meant to be switching their society to metric.
Get a move on switching fully guys, don't stay stuck in halfway land.
"halfway land" still allows real UK (Imperial) pints.
If you don't mind I'll keep to pints, and miles, metres and grams.
