11 Speed SRAM cassette question

My daughter picked up a used 2016 Rhyme FSR Expert Carbon 650b a while ago. She rides pretty steep stuff in Idaho. Would like to to a 10/11 - 50T cassette.

I believe the rear set up is Roval Traverse 142+, SRAM XX1 driver body, 12mm thru-axle, 28h. With this drive body, is the only option staying with SRAM and limited to 10-42 cassette.

If I am correct, could she change the drive hub and get a Shimano cassette with 50T or other brand hub and stay 11 speed?
Are there other options, besides a 12 speed drive train upgrade?
Also, I would guess she could go from 30T to 28T on the crank?
