I have a couple of them. The display comes in very handy on the tandem and I would miss it if it was not on my road bike. I also like that the Flight Deck(FD) is integrated with the buttons on the hoods so I don't have to move my hands to scroll and check other data. The fact that the cadence is virtual has its plus and minus. When you are coasting at speed it will show the cadence as though you are pedaling, even though you are not. For me when the cadence drops to about 90rpm after coasting down a hill, I know it is time to start pedaling again. If I had any input with Shimano's design team it would be to add altimeter functions to the FD. FWIW, I know several people who use them.
