It's not much of a difference, I admit, but enough that I prefer the SRAM cassettes. I haven't checked the availability of Shimano 11-28. My drive trains are Ultegra, and the SRAM cassettes work fine. Completely compatible. If 11-28 isn't available in Ultegra, that would seem to be another reason to use the SRAM cassette.
