26/42 is a pretty big jump. I'd be interested in something similar if I thought I could reliably make the shift, especially the downshift. Nothing like dropping a chain approaching a hill.
A couple of my bikes tend to drop the chain to the inside once in a long while, so I added a chain catcher. Works perfectly.
