Did the noise start when the new BB was installed? I would check that all of the threaded parts were installed correctly and torqued to spec.

(Once, decades ago, I had a once-per-crank-revolution ping that drove me crazy. I took the crank apart on three consecutive weekends without eliminating the noise. I finally took the pedals off, cleaned the threads, and reinstalled with fresh grease. No more noise.)
