I am pretty upset about this. A roof rack is out of the question because I drive a convertible and at 5' - 3" and 72 years old, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my bike on top of a car.

that's annoying as heck. what are we supposed to do? hang it from a rope on the bike? then what happens the next day when we take the rack off? screw the plate back on the car? we need practical solutions, not blind punishment
