I would like to try an SMP TRK saddle and would like opinions on which size to buy and whether to get gel or not. I will not be able to go to a dealer and be fitted. I'm 6'2" tall 190 lbs. I have a 30" waist and 34" inseam. Should I go with medium or large? Gel or not? I haven't liked cheap gel saddles or any of those gel saddle covers finding them too soft and easy to wad up. I don't have any particular issues with my current saddles but only have a couple out of about 6 that feel good.

The one saddle I haven't been able to get a good fit with is my Brooks B-17. No matter which bike I try it on I always find myself feeling the rivets on the back edge. Most of my saddles are tilted down a bit and I usually have my saddle height just above my bar height.
