@SpeedOfLite has posted many reviews from Bicycle Guide. I'd encourage you to read them. Bicycle Guide aimed at a more discerning audience of riders than Bicycling, and it shows. Bicycling never wanted to alienate the potential buyer / novice cyclist who picked up a single issue off the newsstand, while BG knew that their market was their subscribers.
