My Wahoo chest HRM finally quit working after quite a few years. The strap was getting a bit stretched out too.
I replaced it with a Polar H10. It's expensive, around $100 now.
Advantages:
I don't need to wet the electrodes. It just starts reporting my heart rate within a couple of seconds after putting it on.
The strap is really nice. A continuous band, with the monitor pod mounted onto the strap surface with two metal snaps. The electrodes seem to be better quality than my old Wahoo -- smooth and sturdy.
It has a bunch of advanced features that haven't tried to use. I just use it with a Garmin GPS.
I'm expecting it to last a long time. It's a couple of years old now, and looks new.
Disadvantages:
The coin battery is a CR2025, not the common CR2032. It's just slightly thinner than a 2032. I've seen reports that 2032 can work, but I got a 6-pack of 2025s. I think I replace it about every 9 months or so?
