In the end it was the freewheel that was worn and needed to be replaced. Chain ring is still good. No compatibility issues with the K1 wide.

Wow, so neat (I say sarcastically). I used to eat animal parts as well but that has zero relevance to the subject at hand. You wanted help we tried to provide help and you said you got everything covered come later to find out that a part was worn out like I said in my original post which you fought back on.
You went out on some limb and you fell and got hurt and are trying to blame me for falling off that limb, sorry, not going to work. I gave you ability to go through the problem and if you had read the whole post you would understand that. You quoted one small portion not the whole post so I am guessing you skipped over actually responding to me just to be snarky. Fine people use snark and what they think is funny to deal with tough subjects, I know because I do it sometimes.I actually wanted to help you and you seemed not to want help as you were the expert and didn't require it which is odd because to my eye you asked for help.
I have been in the industry since 2012, I have 2 single speeds (well one is set up as a fixed gear) and have had others in the past and worked on a whole lot of them over the years. I am not saying this to brag as I know there are plenty of people who know a lot more than I do and I always will have a ton more to learn but I am not some uneducated noob here I have been doing this a while and am privately a bike nerd as well as in my professional life. I have seen plenty of drivetrain noise coming from worn out parts and from other issues but in good number of cases it is simply worn out parts as it was in your case.
When someone offers help in the future and you don't want or need it, just be polite about it no need for the "I know everything why did you bother". As someone who has dealt with warranty there are certain procedures that manufacturers want you to follow and it can seem repetitive but there is a reason for it. They want to make sure it is not the common issue they run across daily. However if you have done those checks there are better ways of expressing that and you should try to employ them. It will help you out here and also in any professional or home life you may have. Good communication will help everyone greatly but most importantly you.
