Did you report that guy to the owners of the campground and/or the police? From what I understand, he did threaten you. He might be posing some risks to other people. And although I might be terrified at the idea that you were touring with a gun (typical Canadian reaction I guess) I am glad to see that you opted for a more diplomatic way.
