That's been my experience too though I think that's been well-known for a much longer time vs. Tufo since they are much newer to the gravel tire market.

Thanks, that seems consistent with other reports.

FWIW - based on my experience Bontrager, Challenge, Kenda, Maxxis, Michelin, Specialized, & Vittoria gravel tires are not "undersized"; while Conti, Panaracer, WTB, and now Tufo are "undersized". I've also read that Pirelli & Schwalbe are undersized but I don't know that from 1st-hand experience. Of course, my statements about what is "undersized" or not is kinda subjective since some tires are more or less "undersized" than others (though I've never seen a tire that is 1/2-way between "undersized" and not). Either way it's a kinda 50/50 split.
