Well, the parts finally arrived. I went with the single 3803 bearing on the drive side.


With cups installed:


Installed in frame and torqued to spec:



Smooth as butter. Turning it with my fingers, there is no extra noticeable drag due to the extra bearing seals.

But, this whole process leads me to a more pertinent question. See next post.
