Bikes: too many old steel bikes

1975 Coppi Junior Racer

I restored this bike for my son back in 2016 when the family went to Eroica California when he was 11. Giancarlo Brocci was all excited to see son James in the GIS jersey which was about 3 sizes too large for him! Apparently, GIS Gelato is made a short distance from Gaiole and Giancarlo organized the photo. James is now 19 and a sophomore at the Colorado School of Mines. The time goes fast! As you can see, I built it to a much higher spec than original, which was simplex prestige derailleurs, steel cotter crank, steel HB and stem, cheap plastic saddle and steel seat post. The bike has relatively few miles on it since the restoration and the finish is excellent? Everything works as it should. A beautiful bike. The Gipiemme crankset is 145mm long and has 45/42 chainrings with a campy grand sport BB. The freewheel gear range is 14/28. The turbo saddle is the junior model which is a bit small and is perfect as well. The Universal model 77 brakes are original to the bike and I fitted modern brake pads. The wheels are original to the bike as well and I believe the rims are NISI? I believe I have a new 24” Vittoria sew-up and pedals to go with it. Standover height is 26.75 inches.

More pics here show some of the evolution of the bike: https://www.flickr.com/photos/138276...7663417631172/

I’m asking $500 plus bike flights to the lower 48, and open to reasonable offers. The holidays are coming!
