Those charts are wrong and unnecessarily conservative. The idea that there is some kind of control issue is overblown and unsubstantiated. Additionally, don’t get hung up on the numbers. A 30.8mm tire is 1.2mm narrower than a 32mm tire. That’s roughly the thickness of a dime. In other words, not much.
