I have the first gen Superbe, and it came on an 83 Trek 700. It kinda pained me to remove it, but the 42t small ring didn’t get along with my age. I replaced it with a pretty SR Apex with its fluted arms. It looks fine also. I recently acquired a Sugino Mighty Tour that needs a bike built around it, so I am in the same boat.
