On my Checkpoint I can carry the flat kit in the tube storage and accuracy is definitely improved when unit is near the top.

I need a smaller saddle bag or integrated bag or other solution for flat kit for my other bike as it appears there’s no workaround. No big deal. Very happy with the accuracy sans bag.
