My vote for most underrated would have to be the late '80s Fuji models with quad-butted Valite tubing. Models like the Club, League, Del Rey, and even the lowly Sagres in some years. They have a ride quality that I would put on par with any of my "better" steel frames, and the construction is about as good as it gets for a mass-produced bike.
