Did part of the Caperton trail and the Deckers Creek trail earlier this year (late March)

Agree - Deckers Creek trail very scenic - neat rock faces and nice little waterfalls (around the 7 mile mark and 12 mile mark) - but the climb was almost non-stop for somewhere around 8-10 miles … ? … or more ? … sheesh - few if any ‘reprieves’ during that climb … reminded me a bit of the climb from Connellsville to Ohiopyle on the GAP

almost surprised you found a spot to park at HRM Park - especially with school in … apparently many park at nearby Morilla Park or a lot near the WV DMV (and you can then eliminate some of the urban section) … also a lot behind the Spring Hill Suites

Coopers Rock State Park / Coopers Rock (overlook) is relatively close - unfortunately the park was closed in March and did not feel like walking 2 miles (or whatever) from the closed park entrance to the overlook (and then 2 miles back)
