Surprised no one said 90s Treks. The early Treks and 80s Treks get a lot of acclaim, but the ugly 90s "hybrids" are actually well-suited for a lot of folks. Would I trade one for my late 70s hand silver brazed Treks? Absolutely not. But for $25-75 they are hard to beat for someone trying steel for the first time.
