The Wednesday before Hurricane Helene showed up, I ran into a long-term cycling associate who has switched over to riding only his gravel bikes. Initially we discussed my purchasing a stash of new-in-plastic Campagnolo parts for a ridiculously low sum; when I touched base with him after the storm he decided to pass on all of his road bikes, tools and parts to me.
This is what I brought home today -
- still sorting through it and it looks like this will be fun. Best of all - his comment was, "If you don't take it, it goes to the dump." Seriously.
Dang. That was super generous of him! Instant stash replenishment karma!
