Spent most of October out of the country and missed the gorgeous fall colors so many others have posted here. Happily, the weather is still nice in Virginia and I got out for a few hours on the newly 650-B'd 83 Davidson custom tourer.

Note the thick layer of leaves on the trail- we've had almost no rain for a month and they are dropping like crazy.

On a sunny day there will be a dozen or more turtles on the logs around this pond; alas, I think the cooling weather is driving them down into the mud. Or wherever they go during the winter...

Up front, a Tektro 559 was not quite long enough to reach the 650b rim, so I used a longer Dia Compe centerpull and matching quick release.

Recently acquired a half dozen or so vintage bags from a gentleman who retired from long distance riding. Never used one of these saddle bags before but for cold weather it's great to hold a pair of thicker gloves, liners, or a buff.
