I just haven't seen it in my small sampling of frames, including friends' Moots and Sevens.

I certainly don't dispute that more premium brands could be superior in terms of features, tube selection, geometry, etc. But actual workmanship? Once again, I'm not saying that the workmanship doesn't differ, maybe it's subtle grades of verygood-excellent that I just can't see. I'm going to take every opporunity to compare whenever I get the chance.
Oh no, I don't think anyone has said that the workmanship of a brand like Litespeed or Lynskey is inferior or superior to another brand. And honestly, the reason I put certain words In quotes is that I am not sure the more expensive stuff makes anything "better". Maybe a bit lighter and maybe a bit different but "better" is is something difficult to measure.

The weld things for bikes is stupid. All that is important is how well the weld holds up. I saw plenty of aluminum bikes with gorgeous welds fail in my time - while the ugly welds kept going.
