I prefer the opposite. Hub stamp legible from behind the bike, so when I am riding, I can read it. Rear is the same orientation as front and rear should match.
But again, if it takes more than 5 minutes of additional time, not worth the trouble.
I attended a monthly bike swap this morning.
As a few were Campagnolo rear hubs, I noticed that as the bike would be ridden, the stampings read left to right top of text would turn upside down toward the front. Campagnolo had an opinion.
