Well....I'm still a failure at reducing it seems. That Tommasini Prestige has gone unsold locally. I'll probably pull the ad for the winter and relist in the spring.
I've also put the Kestrel 200 SCI out there but with all the brand new modern parts on it I listed it for a high price just to try and recoup 1/2 my costs.
Then the C4 frameset has also been listed at a give away price but the few nibbles I've gotten on that have folks wanting even more off without ever coming to see it. I think that one is headed to the bike collective. At least I can take the tax write off.
And along the way a nice 2006 Look 555 showed up locally cheap. I wanted to see if the ride quality was on par with my Colnago C40 so I grabbed it. Just converted it from Ultegra 6600 parts to DA 7800 yesterday.
And since getting ride of the Holdsworth and the Raleigh Team USA I've realized I really do want to ride the Cino up in Montana next year. Either of those frames would have made the perfect choice as they had tons of room for larger, gravel tires. The only thing I have left with clearance are the old Softride with is no where near the "spirit" of the ride or the Evans bike. It's in the background of the picture above and could fit 700 x 28 or maybe 30 tires. But it would mean totally rebuilding it with DT friction shifting and such to even be close to a Cino Heroica bike. So..... I'm considering buying an older frameset to build up for the event. There's what appears to be a 1974 Raleigh Professional for sale locally. I think that would fit 700 x 28 tires. But at $400 in today's market it seems expensive. There's a Vitus 979 listed locally too. It those are as flexy as they say it might prove comfortable on rough, washboard, gravel road. If it stayed together, LOL!
I am also retiring at the end of the month. So, disposable income comes into play. At least I've stay consistent and still suck at downsizing.
