no, it is adjusted fine. Same as on my other bike. I removed, cleaned and reinstalled everything (to the bare frame with only BB attached) on my older Giant TCR and have no issues in adjusting and shifting.

i think the problem is with the shifter itself as something is not right even when cable is removed from the shifter.
