The plain steel Record/ Record Ace models would probably top out at $100 in very good condition. I've seen the 531 Record Ace models sell for around $200 for the frame-set only, so an equipped, and in good condition bike should be worth $250 and up. Keep in mind that vintage bike prices are currently at low levels, and only excellent shape models sell for decent prices.

If it's your size, in great condition, fully ready to go, I wouldn't think $275-300 is out of line.
Thank you for the advice. I have an acquaintance who knows about vintage bikes and he has agreed to take a look at the bike for me. Depending on his verdict I might make an offer.
