Actually after I wrote the earlier post I emailed AAA and they answered that they would not provide assistance, however they mentioned: "
While we would be more than happy to offer assistance to you in the case of an emergency, our assistance would be limited to member benefits such as;
hotel accommodations, car rentals, calling a family member or friend, contacting the local area police."
and thought it was a fair answer.
