Neither of the Ultregra shifters worked the day I went to go see it. Not a deal stopper to me and I did get them both working before swapping them out. It was cold when I test rode the bike with the serviced Dura Ace ones I put on the bike. The sticking shifter I'm sure just means I need to flush them again and then relube with TriFlow better. As to repairs, Campagnolo wins that hands down as pretty much all the Ergolevers are easily rebuildable and if you know who to go to, the parts are available and not expensive. Not that I expect to need them repaired since no one of my bikes sees that many miles on it's own. If an STI shifter ever breaks (which I doubt too), it will just be chucked. I've heard on here that the one guy that used to do these has stopped or is gone or something. I've also understood Shimano didn't sell the spare parts like Campagnolo did.

Your turn, LOL!

Long live Campagnolo, embrace the dark side, bask in it's glory!!!
I like your humor. But I will tell you one thing my bike tech is one the few in Europe who can rebuild shimano sti and campagnolo ergopower brifters. I have bought several of dura ace 7800 sti brifters and none of them had an issue. Luck of the draw, I always purchased very good to new old stock condition and not the ones that would be ok. The last time I have seen a pair of NOS new C Record Ergpower for sale those were around 700-800€ for sale which is the same costs than what costs a pair of NOS 7800 STI brifters. I think that besides my bike tech there is a guy in Germany who repairs older sti but not sure. Long live Shimano Dura Ace
