There is no right or wrong on this topic. I have always routed the front brake to the right hand as that is my dominant hand. Like stated, I also have had motorcycles for a number of years which drove for commonality. It does look wonky with DS cable adjustment on the caliper, function first. One of the reasons I like center pull is that they support levers on either side and they are double pivot.
