Personally I have found using a high end, sturdy truing stand makes it a lot easier.

I was surprised at the difference between a minoura and the park ts 2.2 I use now

other wise I treat truing like a zen mediation....in reverse. I work on the truing slowly and if I get frustrated I step away

I am also not afraid to loosen everything and start over if needed.....don't have to do this much now as I am getting better
