And ALWAYS be Consistent with the command(s) they learn hand signals quickest, btw... but you gotta get their attention foirst... name, command, reward for proper behavior.
she's also attack trained, won't eat a burger left on the dash when i go in a store, respects the borders of my front yard, unless i allow her to chase bambi, and will then hit the brakes and return on command, and stays out of the garbage, off the furniture, and in the back of my toyota wagon.

i lucked out with this one, for sure!
I liked her eyes.. drove 225 miles, each way, to bring her home.
1 yr. old then, she had never seen stairs, or a mud puddle, or a creek, or ridden in a car.
the ad said she was "too mean". dogs aren't ever "mean".
i trained her to sit and lye down while i talked to the owner... he gave me a discount for fuel... he shed a tear as we left.
They just couldn't get along. She shuts down if you act angry toward her.
