For me, the only meaningful potential difference is in the fork blades and the fork blade tips. True 531 has a relatively small diameter down at the tips, when compared to most other fork blades, and therefore is a little less rigid and better a deflecting over bumps. If the builder uses it properly. To me, that's a positive, but I'm not trying to thread my way through a peloton or trying to win a field sprint.

But I worry that we're getting off-track for this Trek 620 thread...
