I've been thinking: I really like the look of the old school quill stem on this bike. It would seem strange to have one of those space-age looking ahead-type stems. They look great on newer bikes, but I think would look strange on this oldie.

So, I guess I won't be hearing from any 5'6" riders, so I'll have to experiment with the stems and hope that if I do need a long one, that it won't create an unstable ride from putting too much weight in front of the axle (per the bike mechanic.)
