The idea of a "Frankenbike" is the result of lawsuits between component manufacturers, esp Shimano, starting in the mid 80s. Shim was trying to use monopoly business tactics with component group discounts and SRAM took em to court . Spoiler: Shimano lost in the early 90s (1991?). Spoiler: result is a ban on economically integrated drivetrains and a proliferation of "technically" integrated systems

Just don't worry about that. Bikes have historically been built with the combination of components that works best for a given situation. Just look at the mavic /simplex tdf bikes of eg lemond. They worked pretty well, or at least good enough for lemond
