Its a mid drive motor. With such motor, usually, the controller is in the drive unit. But Dahon claims that this drive unit is from them, no known brand. Specs of 200W/60Nm are not usual (Bafang has a lightweight M800 mid motor with similar specs but the LCD display is not from Bafang).

The battery cells are surely standard but not the electronics and the assembly of those cells to fit into a seatpost is most probably proprietary.

The first version of the Unio 20E was announced at 16.7kg which was low even with a relatively small 312Wh (or342Wh, specs vary) battery, the current one at 18.7kg, two kg more not a low weight anymore.
